Design Job: JavaScript Ninja at Behance

Looking for a web design job with one of the top names in the creative industry? Behance, the portfolio network and creative resource for design professionals, is hiring a JavaScript expert for its team in New York City. Click through to learn more and apply:

We are looking for someone who loves writing efficient, high-performance JS. You’ll be creating everything from new features to entire web sites and applications. You’ll work closely with our world-class design team to implement site designs and interactions. You should have a strong knowledge of JavaScript to make smooth interactions and enhanced front-end functionality. You should also have a keen eye for details with high standards for code quality and efficiency. Some experience with PHP is required (you don’t have to be an expert, but you should know how to use it).

Requirements:

  1. 4 years experience with JavaScript
  2. 1-2 years experience with a JavaScript library
  3. Working knowledge of PHP
  4. Knowledge and experience with cross-browser compatibility, including older versions of IE
  5. Passion and a love of what you do!

Bonus points:

  1. Experience writing/maintaining JS for huge websites
  2. Experience with MVC PHP frameworks
  3. Experience with MVC JavaScript frameworks, especially BackBone.js
  4. Used jsfiddle to demonstrate issues
  5. Used web workers and/or local storage
